On May 20, 2020, Vital Thin Film Materials, in cooperation with South China University of Technology and supported by Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, successfully delivered the first set of Chinese-made G4.5 high mobility oxide targets (Lanthanide doped Indium Zinc Oxide (Ln-IZO)) toTCL China Star Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd (TCL CSOT).

Ln-IZO uses high-mobility oxide semiconductor materials as the matrix, effectively replacing amorphous silicon, polysilicon and IGZO materials. The result: increased stability and mobility to achieve higher resolution and response speeds with lower energy consumption and operating noise, supporting production of future ultra-high definition and flexible displays.
As project leader, Vital Thin Film Materials will continue working closely with technology partners to develop advanced target materials to better enable volume production of next generation display technologies.
